Breast augmentation surgery is a frequently chosen surgical procedure by women who want to give their breasts a fuller, more shapely, and proportionate appearance. This operation not only addresses aesthetic expectations but also helps to correct volume loss caused by factors such as childbirth, breastfeeding, weight loss, or aging.

The surgery is usually performed using silicone-based implants. The implants are placed either under the breast tissue or under the pectoral muscle, depending on the patient's anatomy and preferences. In some special cases, a more natural-looking augmentation effect can be achieved using the patient's own fat tissue.

Breast augmentation surgery, performed under general anesthesia, typically takes 1-2 hours. Post-operative pain, swelling, and tenderness may occur for a few days. Most patients can return to their normal lives within a few weeks. However, the full recovery process and the integration of the implant with natural tissue can take time.

As with any surgical procedure, breast augmentation surgery carries some risks. These may include infection, implant displacement, capsule contracture (hardening), asymmetry, or, rarely, implant leakage. Therefore, careful pre-operative planning and a clear assessment of patient expectations are of great importance.
