Nose Aesthetics (Rhinoplasty)

Today, many people who are dissatisfied with the shape of their nose or who experience breathing problems are turning to rhinoplasty (nose surgery) in search of a permanent and effective solution. Rhinoplasty, as it is called in medicine, aims to reshape the bone, cartilage, and soft tissues of the nose to be in harmony with the individual's facial structure.

Which techniques are used?

Rhinoplasty surgeries can be performed using either a closed or open technique, depending on the patient's needs and the surgeon's preference.

  • Closed Rhinoplasty: All surgical procedures are performed through the inside of the nostrils. There are no external incisions or scars. Because it is less invasive, the recovery process is generally faster.
  • Open Rhinoplasty: This involves making a small incision in the skin between the nostrils. This technique is preferred because it allows for greater control, especially in shaping the nasal tip.

In recent years, open rhinoplasty has undergone a significant evolution, aided by technological advancements. Unlike traditional methods, advanced technologies such as ultrasonic rhinoplasty and piezoelectric surgery, which offer the possibility of shaping bone without breaking it, allow for more precise and controlled interventions. This results in both more successful aesthetic outcomes and a more comfortable recovery process.
