The surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia and the procedure takes an average of 2 to 4 hours. Using different techniques depending on the shape and size of the breast and the patient's needs, the surgeon reshapes the breast to a smaller, firmer, and tighter form. If necessary, the nipple is also repositioned.

Patients are advised to wear a special medical bra for several weeks during the healing process. Swelling, mild pain, and bruising may occur in the first few days. Avoiding strenuous exercise and lifting heavy objects is important for the healthy healing of stitches and scars.
